A couple of years ago, when I was doing zumba on a regular basis, I met Michele. Michele was one of a group of ladies who attended class regularly and since we all saw each other so often, we became friends. Sadly, I stopped doing zumba about a year ago (and you have NO idea how much I miss it), but I still keep in touch with my old zumba pals on Facebook – where else?
Michele started posting pictures on Facebook of all the cute nail art she was designing. Every now and then I would see her post a picture of her latest design and each time, I would be more and more impressed. As I was doing a little bit of Facebook stalking recently, a light bulb went off. I decided to email Michele to see if she would let me share some of her designs here on my site. I think that her nail art designs are so good that everyone needs to see them – not just her friends on Facebook.
But first a little bit more about Michele:
I started getting gel manicures shortly after they came out. After a while, my sister started doing her own and for a year she would do my nails. When she became pregnant, she let me borrow her kit. And that’s when the obsession really started. I worked as a microbiologist and the steady hand needed to select isolated bacterial colonies from an agar Petri dish actually turned out to be a transferable skill to do detailed nail art.
I’ve been doing friends and family’s nails for about 2 years now and having so much fun doing them. Everyone once in a while, I get a request/challenge. I don’t promise anything but I’m always willing to try. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. But I always have fun trying and learning new techniques. Holidays are my favorites, for many reasons. I love doing themed holiday nails. But the best part is hanging out with a friends and family and making them happy. Hope you like them!
Since Halloween is coming up, I wanted to show you some of her Halloween themed nail designs. So without further adieu…..
