While school is in session, I have very little time to do what I want to do. This year both of my boys are in different schools, each with different start and end times, so that has really thrown off my routine this year. In addition to that, my little one plays soccer and my oldest needs to be at the dojo three or four times a week since he’s about to take his 3rd and final black belt test (it’s this Friday, so wish him luck and good skill).
While there are shows that I never, ever, ever miss like The Walking Dead and The Blacklist, there are a whole slew of shows on my shelfie list.
What’s a shelfie you ask? We all have them – they’re the shows you’ve been wanting to watch but they’ve been sitting on the virtual shelf because…well, because like me, you’re a parent and who has the time?
There are many shows on my shelfie list, but today I am going to tell you my top three (in no particular order).
A powerful team of Washington, D.C. lawyers makes scandals disappear while handling government crises and coping with problems of their own.
A friend of mine has been badgering me for a couple of years to watch this because she swears that it’s one of the best shows on television. She keeps telling me how she is on the edge of her seat for the entire time she’s watching. It sounds like a perfect binge watching show to me and I’m sure when I do finally sit down to watch it, there were be some epic Scandal marathons.
2. Sons of Anarchy
This show is about the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club that operates both legal & illegal businesses out of Charming, a fictional town in CA.
It’s not that I didn’t want to watch it when it was on – I did, but like other shows that I watch (ie The Walking Dead), this show had huge lapses in time between seasons while it was on and frankly that annoys me to no end, so I purposely waited on this one. I don’t like waiting and the only reason I still watch TWD live is well, zombies.
3. Once Upon a Time
The show takes place in the fictional seaside town of Storybrooke, Maine, whose residents are characters from various fairy tales transported to the “real world” town and robbed of their real memories by a powerful curse.
I totally missed the boat on this one. I don’t think I even found out about it until the 2nd or 3rd season, but I know I am going to like this show and can’t wait to find some time to sit down and finally start watching it.
I already mentioned that I never miss The Walking Dead & The Blacklist, but in case either of those shows are on your shelfie list and you’ve been dying to start watching one or both of them, The Blacklist: Season 1-2 and The Walking Dead are both available for streaming on Netflix. There are also some other great shows that are now available that you can stream such as Gotham: Season 1 (Available 9/21), Grey’s Anatomy and Heroes. Check out the great library of fall shows you can stream this month on Netflix!
Tell me, what’s on your Netflix shelfie list?
